In 2008 we organised the first edition of the Graphic Design Festival Breda. With over 30 activities more than 100 local, national and international designers got exposure in Breda.
In 38 days the festival attracted between 1500 and 2000 visitors. The site drew about 32,563 visitors. 50,000 pairs of eyes have seen the projections in the city and another 35,000 people saw the mupis and ctrl + project. There were 60 enthusiastic participants that took part in the Spacesoup Sweatshops at KOP and over 70 seminar visitors listened to the stories by Mieke Gerritzen and Ji Lee. 80 students got in a discussion with Anthon Beeke and 1000 primary school pupils showed us their favorite place in town through self-designed signs.
