Projector Spectre IV: LUST

In 2007, the designers of Staynice composed the first edition of Projector Spectre. On ten different walls in Breda’s city centre, graphic animations were projected. During the second edition in 2008, ten different designers repeated this. Some of the projections were interactive and reacted to the behaviour of passers-by. Projector Spectre 3.0 took place in Breda’s Great Church (former cathedral), the impressive projections of ANTI VJ at the monumental organ are still etched in the eyes of many of Breda’s people.

For the fourth edition of Projector Spectre, the designers of LUST have been invited. This The Hague-based studio, consisting of Dimitri Nieuwenhuizen, Jeroen Barendse and Thomas Castro, is into graphic design and new media ever since 1996. LUST looks at designing as a process. Each design results from a concept that has been extensively researched. In the course of years LUST developed a design methodology others like to call process-based design or self-generating systems. Engaging an analytic process leads to something designing itself.

LUST handled some impressive installations before, at international festivals. Exclusively for GDFB, they will interactively light the Reigerstraat for a while.
